Since her middle school years, Shin Shin has been active in service clubs and the student council to understand the pains and fulfill the needs of others in her school community, cultivating a sense of philanthropy. That mindset alone led her to become the President of the high school Student Council during her senior year, where she brought about new changes and reforms essential for the well-being and development of the student body. At the same time, her appreciation for her hardworking peers inspired her to establish the first-ever National Honors Society chapter in her high school. Thus, Shin Shin has been a positive force for her peers and other communities around her.

During her time as a high schooler, Shin Shin has been involved in a vast array of community organizations affiliated with her high school and even beyond to this day. There, she led numerous fundraisers, community events, and community outreach projects. She has been building up her academic portfolio and community-building skills, particularly in the realm of healthcare, through numerous volunteering activities, community services, and internships in fulfilling her vision of becoming a well-versed Medical Doctor.
